Direct Primary Care in Wesley Chapel, FL

Most people don’t leave their doctor’s office feeling heard. They wait three weeks for a 12-minute appointment. They get a rushed diagnosis, a prescription, and a bill they weren’t expecting. Then they do it all over again next time.

That’s not a healthcare problem. That’s a business model problem. And it’s what Direct Primary Care fixes.

At South Beach Wellness Center, we offer Direct Primary Care (DPC) memberships for individuals and families in Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, Lutz, and New Tampa. One flat monthly fee. Unlimited visits. Direct access to your provider. No insurance games, no surprise bills, no waiting room full of people who booked three weeks ago.

If you’ve been putting off care because of cost, wait times, or the feeling that your doctor doesn’t actually know you, this is the model that was built for you.

What Is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based healthcare model. You pay a flat monthly fee and in return get unlimited access to primary care services, same-day or next-day appointments, and direct contact with your provider by phone and text.

There is no insurance billing. No per-visit fees. No referral loops. Just a direct relationship between you and your provider.

This is not a concierge medicine service reserved for executives. DPC was built to make high-quality primary care accessible and affordable for real families. Our memberships in Wesley Chapel start at $50 a month for children and $100 a month for adults.

Most of our patients carry a high-deductible insurance plan or a health-sharing plan alongside their DPC membership. The membership handles their day-to-day primary care. The insurance stays in place for emergencies, hospitalizations, or specialist care. Together the combination typically costs less than a standard insurance plan with copays and deductibles and delivers far better access.

What You Get With Direct Primary Care at South Beach Wellness Center

Same-day and next-day appointments

When something comes up, you don't wait three weeks. Most acute issues are handled the same day you call.

Direct access by phone and text

You have Maribel's direct line. Not a nurse line. Not a portal message that gets answered in 48 hours. Direct contact with your provider.

Unlimited visits with no copays

Your monthly fee covers every visit. You will never pay a per-visit fee or worry that coming in too often is costing you money.

Generic medications included

Over 95% of generic medications are included in your membership. For patients managing chronic conditions, this alone often covers the cost of the membership.

Telehealth included

Can't come in? Virtual visits are included at no additional cost. We serve patients throughout Florida virtually.

Longer appointment

The average traditional primary care visit runs 12 minutes. Our appointments are designed to give you the time your health actually requires.

A provider who knows you

Maribel keeps a smaller patient panel than a typical primary care practice. That means she actually knows your history, your family, your patterns, and your goals.

How Direct Primary Care Works at South Beach Wellness Center

Patients from Zephyrhills, New Tampa, Trinity, and Odessa make the drive to our office just north of Tampa Premium Outlets because they can’t find this level of access closer to home. Here’s what the experience looks like:

You enroll online or call the office. You pay the one-time $65 enrollment fee and your first monthly membership payment. From there, you have direct access to Maribel by phone and text and can book same-day or next-day appointments online or by calling us directly.

Your first visit is a comprehensive intake. Maribel reviews your health history, your current medications, your lab history if you have it, and your goals. She builds a picture of you as a whole patient, not a chief complaint.

From there, you come in as often as you need to. Sick visits, check-ins, chronic condition monitoring, follow-ups. There is no per-visit cost and no reason to wait until something gets worse before calling.

Frequently Asked Questions About Direct Primary Care

Is Direct Primary Care cost-effective compared to traditional primary care?

For most individuals and families, yes. By removing insurance billing and administrative overhead, DPC providers can offer meaningful access at a predictable monthly cost. The emphasis on preventive care and early intervention also tends to reduce expensive downstream treatments. For patients managing chronic conditions, the included generic medications alone often offset a significant portion of the membership fee.

Can I use Direct Primary Care alongside my existing health insurance?

Yes, and most of our members do. DPC is not health insurance and does not replace it. It works as your primary care layer, handling day-to-day health needs directly. Many members pair their DPC membership with a high-deductible insurance plan or a health-sharing account. DPC providers often negotiate discounted rates for labs, imaging, and additional services, which can reduce your out-of-pocket costs even further when you do need to use insurance.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

You can cancel at any time. Your membership remains active through the end of your current billing period. We require 30 days written notice to process a cancellation. Contact our office directly and our staff will walk you through the process.

Do you offer virtual primary care appointments?

Yes. Telehealth visits are included in every adult DPC membership at no additional cost. We see patients virtually throughout Florida.

Is Direct Primary Care available for my whole family?

Yes. Our Family Membership covers two adults and two children for $250 per month. Each additional child beyond the initial two is billed at $25 per month.

My child is under 6. Can they enroll?

Our pediatric DPC membership is available for children ages 6 through 17.
